SHARK (“we”, “us”, or “our”) operates the SHARK business management platform available at shark.guide and through our mobile applications (collectively, the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Service.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Account Information

When you register, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and business details (brand name, category). This information is necessary to create and manage your account.

2.2 Social Media Data

When you connect Facebook, Instagram, or other social media accounts through our Service, we access the following data with your explicit permission:

• Facebook Pages: Page name, page ID, page access tokens, and the ability to publish posts and read insights on your behalf.
• Instagram Business: Account name, account ID, the ability to publish content and read insights.
• Messenger & Instagram DMs: Messages sent to and from your connected Pages/accounts, for display in our unified inbox.

We only access data that you explicitly authorize. We do not access your personal Facebook profile, friend lists, or private messages unrelated to your business pages.

2.3 Business Data

We store data you create within the Service: products, orders, customer records, stock movements, vouchers, loyalty points, chat messages, scheduled posts, and related business content.

2.4 Technical Data

We automatically collect IP address, browser type, device information, and usage patterns to maintain security and improve the Service.

3. How We Use Your Information

• Provide, operate, and maintain the Service
• Publish content to your connected social media accounts on your behalf
• Display incoming messages from your customers in the unified chat inbox
• Process orders, manage stock, and track loyalty points
• Send service-related notifications
• Improve and develop new features
• Comply with legal obligations

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal data. We may share data with:

• Platform APIs: Facebook/Meta, Instagram, LINE, and other connected platforms — only the data necessary to perform actions you request.
• Service Providers: Hosting, database, and infrastructure providers who process data on our behalf under strict confidentiality agreements.
• Legal Requirements: When required by law, court order, or governmental authority.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account or request data deletion, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (TLS/SSL), secure password hashing, JWT-based authentication, and access controls.

8. Facebook/Meta Data Use

Data obtained through the Facebook/Meta API is used solely to provide features you have requested (publishing posts, reading insights, managing messages). We do not use Facebook data for advertising, data brokerage, or any purpose unrelated to the Service functionality you have authorized.

9. Children's Privacy

Our Service is intended for business use and is not directed at individuals under the age of 18.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notification.
